Rio de Janeiro

After a few days in Rio de Janeiro I realised it is much better than you think, the city we see on the news is full of crime yet I had not experienced any danger during my time there. I went on a tour to see the big sites such as Christ the Redeemer and the Selaron steps and on the second day I watched the world cup with some new friends.

Krakow is a Charming City With Harrowing History

  This city used to be the capital of Poland and is probably the most well-known place in Poland to most people. Because of the fact that a pint in Poland is 1/5 the price it is in the UK, this means that it is the most touristy place in Poland and attracts people to come here for their stags. However, this city is home to some intriguing history of the Second World War and also some amazing European architecture.  All it took to get from Warsaw to Krakow was a simple 4 hour Flixbus journey that was an absolute bargain for £7, the bus journey wasn't too bad, however there wasn't a charging port for my phone. When I got to my hostel, I had to charge my phone. Later on, I met up with a guy I met in Naples and we got some Pierogi then had a few beers in the Old Town. Lake Bled Is Simply Magical

  If you know anything about Slovenia, then you will have heard of Lake Bled, I don't think you can visit Slovenia without seeing it, even just for a day trip. It's really easy to get to Lake Bled from Ljubljana, I headed over to the central bus station and bought a ticket for 7 euros. The bus takes an hour and you will be blessed with some incredible views of the Julian Alps. However, this place isn't perfect, it's quite a big tourist destination, when I told a Slovenian I was heading there, he told me it was just a big tourist destination and it's worth mentioning how pricey this place is. When I got there I went to a Balkan place for some lunch and I had a Balkan patty with chips and a diet coke which came to 18 euros, which is absurd for a lunch. After that, I walked over to Bled castle, a medieval castle atop a hill, overlooking the lake.
