A Weekend in Sweden
Dark, cold and expensive. These are three words I would give to describe my visit to Stockholm. Am I saying it's not worth visiting? Not exactly, it was something different to see the city pitch black at 4PM and the cold atmosphere was perfect for a winter visit.
Even a walk through Glamlastan to look at the local shops is interesting, the local people are very nice and will welcome you with open arms. The island of Gamlastan has very colourful and aesthetically pleasing architecture which has stood the tests of time and everything there looks like it was perfectly placed.
What you may not expect on a visit to Stockholm is the Nobel Prize Museum which is centrally informative about Martin Luther king's struggle for civil rights in unfortunately too similar times in America.

Easily the best thing to see is the ABBA museum, it will give you a feeling similar to going into Disneyland, it goes through the story of how ABBA grew into what we now of it is today and how they faded despite being timelessly monumental as they are today. The best part of it is that there is a hologram performance that you can be part of as the 5th member of ABBA.
Of course I also had to see the other local museums such as the history museum and national museum which give an insight into Swedish history and culture.
Furthermore, a visit would not have been complete without trying the local cuisine, it is not too impressive as there are loads of various places to eat due to it being a multicultural country but at the same time the meatballs were nothing short of excellent.
I made a visit as well to an ice bar in which I drank from a cup made of ice, this was definitely worth doing but not something so exclusive to Stockholm.
In conclusion what I'd have to say is that it is easy to visit due to the fact that everyone can speak english fluently and it is almost a crime free city. On the downside it is not a cheap place to visit, to give an example a bottle of pear cider at a restaurant came to roughly £7.
