Mount Batur At Sunrise
One of the things you must do in Bali if you're up for it is to climb Mount Batur and see the sunrise. This is something that takes dedication because I had to wake up at 1:30 in the morning and was packed into a car with the rest of my friends for a car journey that lasted about an hour and a half in the dark. The hike is not too bad compared to Munros in Scotland, it only lasts at least two hours to get to the top and it is a straightforward climb. Just make sure you bring water with you as I didn't and had to by some off a motocross driver passing by for elevated prices. Another thing is that before you start you will be offered to rent a jacket because they say that it is cold once you get to the top. This is not worth it as during my time on the top I could have easily done without one because I am too used to cold temperatures.
