As I first timer for Brazilian football, I have to say it is a very unique spectacle, it does not compare to any Scottish football match I have been to. Tickets for a match to see Flamengo play at one of the most iconic stadiums in the world are surprisingly cheap, for me it only cost about four quid. The only hard part is getting from where you are and to the stadium. This involves taking the metro there and most likely it will be rush hour, rush hour on the Rio de Janeiro Metro is extremely intense as it involves being congested by a ridiculously huge amount of people which feels like you are being crushed like the Hillsborough disaster. Furthermore when you get there, getting inside the stadium is hugely confusing as you'll need to pick up your ticket and walk to where your allocation is. The Amazon is definitely worth visiting, though challenging, it is off the beaten track meaning that there are hardly any tourists. Most tourists are from Brazil themselves and this is because it is often overlooked due to it being really difficult to get to. For me it took a two hour flight from Buenos Aires to Sao Paulo from 10PM to 2AM, then going to a hotel next to the airport to sleep for 4 hours to then get a flight at 8:30AM and got there at 1PM. On the first day there was mismanagement with our hotel so we decided to go to a hotel nearby for one night where we just went to the pool during the sunset which was a great sight. The next morning we went over to a hotel more central to Manaus and we got tours in the Amazon organised. Make sure that you get a good price if you want a tour here, they could mug you off costing £1000 when I got it for about £120. Argentina had it's advantages and disadvantages, on one side, getting to Buenos Aires from an airport that they hadn't yet finished building was a nightmare, cold, winter-like weather and the people there were nice apart from being worked up towards us about the Falklands. I get it fam they're yours, I don't care. On the other side the sophisticated style of Buenos Aires, the Argentine steak and multicultural style of the country made it an interesting city to explore. Iguazu falls is simply an amazing sight, like something out of Jurassic Park and it even looks like someone just used a massive knife to cut the earth open. The Brazilian side has less to it compared to the Argentine side and the good thing about that is that you get plenty of stamps on your passport even for a single visit. The Argentine side is more of an adventure and has amazing views to offer which cannot be seen elsewhere, while wearing my 3s and a bulls top the magical experience made me feel like I had wings.
